Welcome to my world
I have been living in the UK for more than 25 years now. I came to work as an au-pair and to study English. Over the years I have worked in hospitality and retail (Harrods, Penhaligon’s) My first creative job was in the ARTYARD - an art studio in East Sheen where i used to run art and craft workshops - it was a colourful, crazy place that used to be run by a mixed media artist Debra Luker. It was a place that has inspired me for years to work with children, young adults and creative places. Since then I have always made sure I am part of some creative projects, for example - School fairs, playgroups, creative playdates, designing window displays, custom made birthday parties while learning and experimenting with various techniques and materials.
Shortly before the pandemic, I owned the franchise Creative Mojo and a provider of all inclusive art classes for people on acre homes and adults with additional needs that had to sell due to lockdowns and prolonged restrictions with access. From the years 2021-2024 I worked at a studio in Worcester Park called Craft my Day where I was running creative mixed media workshops for children and adults.
At present I am a fine art teacher in art art studio in Ewell - Art-K where we have classes for children, adults and high school students, supporting them in art related GCSEs, scholarships and in preparing portfolios. We have helpers from age 16-21 who are working or volunteering with us after school, on the weekends and on holidays. Everyone loves working there and the studio creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere for both our young helpers, students ages 6-16 and adults. We have many high school students coming for work experience or the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
Last year I decided to learn new skills and incorporate AI tools into my personal creative work. As an artist I feel strongly that all artwork should be respected, recognised as high level craftsmanship and protected in copyrights. As we are at the beginning of the biggest technological revolution, it is of a great importance to create regulations and laws for ethical use of AI.
